Domestically we accept Visa Card, Master Card, Discover Card and PayPal (nominal fees apply) for orders up to US$500 and money orders, cashier’s and personal checks as well as wire transfers for orders above US$500. Please contact us to receive wire transfer instructions.  For international orders the same rules apply, but the limit is at US$350. You can use a Visa, Master, Discover card and PayPal for purchases if you fax or scan and e-mail us the front and back of the credit card. We must be able to read the security code on the back of the card. We also need a fax or scan and e-mail of a photo ID. The names must match on the two. We will only ship to the billing address you have registered with your credit card (the Bill to address). We will know if the address you gave us matches the bank information and we will not ship if the address doesn't match.  Should you inquire an estimate, especially for non-stock items, please be aware that these are non-binding. Should you decide to order we might need to re-adjust the estimate based on recent exchange rate changes, changed shipping rates or manufacturer pricelist changes. For custom orders of non-stock items we only accept pre-payment in full  due to many troubles with exchange rate changes which lead to unhappy customers when the finaly payment was due. We are no longer able to accept down-payments for such drop-shipments.

We do not accept responsibility for damage due to crashes and/or loss of kits, engines, accessories, parts and so forth sustained during operation of a radio-controlled model. It is extremely difficult or impossible to determine whether crash damage occurred due to radio gear malfunction or due to operator/user error. Also, we cannot be held responsible for any purchased components, parts and repairs.  ALL items are warranted by the manufacturers. All items are warranted by the manufacturers and their responsibility is to repair or replace the part which was faulty. We will of course assist in the communication between you and the manufacturer directly and with service. And of course Vogelsang Aeroscale will provide you with tech support to the best of our knowledge and capabilities. Should that be unsuccessful many times the manufacturer can provide some additional tech support and get the components working and we will assist in that process, as well.


Most of the time the manufacturer needs the part back for repair and/or will send a repair or replacement part free. Vogelsang Aeroscale carries products from companies all around the world who stand behind their products. Should they fail to stand behind their products to the level that Vogelsang Aeroscale feels is appropriate, Vogelsang Aeroscale will drop them as a vendor. Please note that any items modified, self-repaired, tempered with or otherwise modified by anyone other than the manufacturer lose their warranty, furthermore Vogelsang Aeroscale and the manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any damages.  Be aware that manufacturers generally do not pay for a new airframe which is broken during flight. Usually any manufacturer will not replace an airframe which breaks in the air or upon landing. Manufacturers usually replace airframes when they have received reports of many of the same failures and once the manufacturer determines that there was a design or manufacturing error. Please fly safely, keep G-loads low and avoid full throttle operation at other than low airspeeds.


The liability to the manufacturer cannot exceed the original cost of the purchased item and Vogelsang Aeroscale reserves the right to change or modify this warranty without notice. In that neither the manufacturer nor Vogelsang Aeroscale have control over the final assembly or materials used for final assembly, no liability shall be assumed or accepted for any damage to the items or for any third party liability claims for injuries or property damaged sustained by third parties arising or resulting from the use by the user of the final user-assemble product. By the act of using the user assembled product, the user accepts all resulting liability. The kit manufacturers have provided you with a top quality, thoroughly tested kit, but ultimately the quality and fly ability of your finished model depend on how you build it and fly it. Therefore, we cannot in any way guarantee the performance of your completed model, and no representations are expressed or implied as to the performance or safety of your completed model. It is the user's responsibility to inspect each component for worthiness. Also, we cannot be held responsible for any purchased components that are incorporated problems caused by incompatibility between components, parts, and repairs not completed by our service center, etc. It is impossible to guarantee product compatibility for product recommendations. We provide information and suggestions to the best of our abilities based on the information available to us at the time. We are unable to guarantee successful outcomes.


All of the products we sell are intended for retail consumption by our customers and are not intended for resale. We reserve the right not to sell commercial quantities or to resellers. Any consequences arising out of the resale of merchandise purchased from Vogelsang Aeroscale is the responsibility of the seller, not Vogelsang Aeroscale. Vogelsang Aeroscale may revoke the ordering privileges of customers commercially reselling our products. Model airplane performance claims typically apply to density altitudes under 3,000 feet above sea level. If you will be flying your airplane above this, additional considerations such as motor power, choice of propeller and aircraft weight should be taken into consideration. If misused, they can cause serious bodily harm and property damage. Fly only in open areas, and AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) approved flying sites. Follow all manufacturer instructions included with your plane, radio, servo's, batteries and engine. All parts of high stress must be inspected and reinforced if necessary by a competent builder. Some parts should be glued again. Seek help if necessary.


Please be aware that the kits, engines accessories and parts are meant for modelers who are very experienced both in building and flying such models. The described model is not a toy. It only belongs into the hands of experienced adults. The manufacturer and the Vogelsang Aeroscale are not accountable for damages and accidents caused due to improper changes made to the design of kits, engines, accessories and parts and resulting from the use of said kits, engines, accessories and parts. The user shall determine the suitability of these products for his or her intended use and shall assume all risks and liability in connection therewith.   



SHIPPING



To ensure fairness to all customers, orders are processed on a first come first served basis, as fast as we can, regardless of shipping method chosen. We post them according to the shipping method you chose.  If you declined shipping insurance for your order, you have agreed to accept any loss or damage in shipping as your own and to hold Vogelsang Aeroscale harmless. Although most of our kits and items are in stock we cannot guarantee that all items are in stock in the US at all times. Hence different shipment scenarios exist.  Drop-shipments to the US customers:  We cannot guarantee that all items are in stock. Should an item be out of stock we can have it drop-shipped to you directly from the manufacturer. Manufacturers have their preferred means of shipping, they preferred shipping companies that they work with. For shipping of large items we offer to ship to the Intl’ airport closest to you using shipping companies that we partner with in order to keep your costs to a minimum. This is by far the cheapest method and is very reliable. Should airplanes and kits be shipped from warehouses separately from components such as engines and electronics, shipping for these items will be separate. Should you want to have the items shipped directly to your door we can do that as well, at a higher rate of course. In some rare cases we cannot quote on shipping cost since your order has to be pre-packed in order to calculate shipping charges. Your shipping cost will be emailed to you with your final invoice. Expect to pay customs and brokerage fees, should they apply. That cost is NOT included in our shipping charge and you are responsible for those charges.  


Vogelsang Aeroscale is the only vendor we know of that has a portfolio of established customs brokerage firms. Our partners have many years of experience in working with us and offer a seamless service.


In-stock item surcharges for big box items:  We charge for the costs of the kits and parts and for of our costs of import strictly separately. This of course only applies should a customer want to purchase an "in-stock" kit from us. Should you want or have to special order and have it drop shipped directly to you from the manufacturer such fees would of course NOT apply. We hope this strict division of costs of items and costs of shipping minimizes confusion.  


Should you want us to drop ship to your location (either airport or door-to-door) you would need to be willing to wait until the special ordered kit and parts have been manufactured, the manufacturer will present you with a manufacturing lead time  depending on manufacturer and item.


Costs of shipping (duties, taxes, fees and brokerage services excluded) can be determined should you be so kind and share your destination ZIP code with us. We can either quote the more affordable shipping to the Intl’ airport closest to you or directly to your doors.  Should the kit on the other hand be in stock and should you want the kit we can have one of our "in-stock" kits shipped to you via freight or Fedex within days. Should you want to get one of the kits we have already imported we would have to ask for a in-stock fee. We are here to accommodate you in any way possible. We look forward to working with you.  All parcels that qualify will be shipped via Fedex ground or USPS, fully insured. Should you request an expedited form of Fedex or USPS shipment, please contact and instruct us accordingly. All parcel that does not qualify for Fedex small packages domestically will be send via Freight. We always makes sure to quote at least three different carriers to ensure that you get the lowest rate. All parcel that does not qualify for Fedex small packages internationally will be send either by Freight Companies (Canada and Mexico) or Fedex Freight.   


Receiving shipments:  We ask that the customer or a responsible adult be present at time of delivery to open the box(es). Before signing for the shipment inspect the carton and contents. You should have a knife on hand to help open the carton. If a package has been damaged in shipping and it is apparent when the package arrives at your door, REFUSE the delivery.  Should you notice any damage during inspection, please note it on the bill of lading, refuse the shipment and contact us immediately. You will also have to contact the freight company DIRECTLY within 24 hours of the delivery.  If you are unable to inspect the contents at the time of delivery, make a notation on the lading that there appears to be some damage to the contents and that you were not able to inspect the contents before signing. You then have 24 hours to initiate a damage claim directly with the Freight or Shipping Company.  If you have already accepted a package, and then discover that it has been damaged, contact us immediately. Be sure to save all paperwork and packing material with the damaged goods. The carrier may wish to inspect it before processing the claim. Please do not return damaged-in-shipment merchandise yourself. It could jeopardize your claim and keep you from receiving credit for the return. We cannot be held responsible for the cost of repairs or replacement of damaged items if there is no notation on the Freight Bill of Lading.  If the box has been delivered without your signature, contact the carrier before opening the package. The carrier will need to inspect the box and verify any damage before refund or replacement can occur.   


Missing or Damaged Shipments   Please be sure to reconcile the number of boxes shipped with the number of boxes received. On occasion carriers may deliver boxes separately. Please note that ground and air shipments are often assigned to separate trucks and may arrive at different times of the day.  Missing Parts  Should you receive merchandise that is missing a part, please contact us immediately. We will ensure that you are sent the part. In accordance with a manufacturer’s request, we may direct the information or your call directly to the manufacturer. You need to notify us of missing parts within 7 days of receiving shipment.



RETURNS



Damaged Merchandise

You will also have to contact the freight company DIRECTLY within 24 hours of the delivery.  If you are unable to inspect the contents at the time of delivery, make a notation on the lading that there appears to be some damage to the contents and that you were not able to inspect the contents before signing. You then have 24 hours to initiate a damage claim directly with the Freight Company.  If you have already accepted a package, and then discover that it has been damaged, contact us immediately. Be sure to save all paperwork and packing material with the damaged goods. The carrier may wish to inspect it before processing the claim. We will get you in touch with the manufacturer and they might offer you a small store credit for a future purchase or even a discount if you keep the item and repair it yourself.


Defective Merchandise   

If you receive defective merchandise, please call us for return instructions. Defects found after the product is in use usually fall under manufacturer's warranty. We will be happy to help you determine which procedure is appropriate for you. Products sold by Vogelsang Aeroscale are warranted through the manufacturer, not through Vogelsang Aeroscale.  If the item you wish to return is inoperable, but has no apparent damage, it is considered defective.  All defective merchandise must be returned directly to the manufacturer for warranty repair or replacement. Manufacturer defects found after the product has been used revert to the manufacturer's warranty. They will handle any problems for you directly. The preferred method of exchange is for you to contact the manufacturer to be sure that you have set up the product properly and that it is really defective. If the manufacturer decides that the product is defective, usually the manufacturer will pay for the shipping of the defective product back to them and they will pay for the shipping of a replacement product to you. If you decide to ship the product to Vogelsang Aeroscale instead, we can be the intermediary, though you must pay for shipping to Vogelsang Aeroscale, and pay for shipping from Vogelsang Aeroscale to the manufacturer. This will also take much more time to be resolved. You will receive the product replaced or repaired from the manufacturer. If you need the part replaced right away, you must contact the manufacturer and work something out with them. Vogelsang Aeroscale can sell you a new part and ship it right away, but we must charge you for the part and shipping, and we cannot give a refund on the returned part. Vogelsang Aeroscale does not offer refunds on malfunctioning parts.


Lost Boxes

If you feel a box has been lost in transit, please call with the order or invoice number and a list of the missing items. A tracer will be initiated at that time. A claim number will be issued if the carrier does not show delivery within 10 days of the scheduled delivery date. Credit will be issued for the missing merchandise when we obtain the claim number from the carrier.


Missing Parts

Should you receive merchandise that is missing a part, please contact us immediately. We will ensure that you are sent the part. In accordance with a manufacturer’s request, we may direct the information or your request directly to the manufacturer. You need to notify us of missing parts within 7 days of receiving shipment.


Returning Items

We want you to be completely happy with your purchases. We will accept merchandise for return that was purchased from Vogelsang Aeroscale within 30 days of receipt. Shipping will not be covered, a re-stock fee may apply and should Credit Card or banking fees apply we would deduct these from your refund.


Returns Policy

Returned merchandise must be in unused condition and in its original packaging. The mounting of engines and accessories, running fuel through engines, cutting or pushing out the balsa sheets in kits, and other similar actions constitutes used merchandise. Wear and tear constitutes used merchandise. Radios must be returned with unmounted servos and switch harness.  When packing your order for return, please be sure all the original packing material and instruction papers and/or manuals are included. We will be unable to process your return if parts are missing, or if items are not packed properly to avoid damage to products and their boxes and/or packages. Kits are specially packaged to insure safe shipping of all contents. In order to receive credit for a returned kit, the contents must be returned in the original packaging and arranged in a manner that will not damage the contents or packaging.

 

We are unable to reimburse for return shipping costs. We do not accept returns via COD or any other collection method. COD packages will be refused. Packages billing Vogelsang Aeroscale without authorization will result in actual shipping charges billed back to sender unless other prior arrangements were made. The customer is responsible for insured shipping back to our shop.   Ship via Fedex, UPS or Post Office fully insured. We will not be responsible for any cost incurred by you to return such item to us. If we don't receive your returned item or if it gets damaged on the way to us we will not give you a refund or exchange. Please enclose the original receipt with the package and a note explaining what you would like us to do (credit, exchange, refund). If you don't enclose the receipt we can't verify that you bought that item from us and in many cases we don't even know who is shipping back items if you don't kindly provide us with that information.  We will accept merchandise in brand new condition purchased from Vogelsang Aeroscale for return within 30 days of the purchase date at a 5%. Products that have been purchase between 30 and 90 days will incur a 10% restocking fee. We do not accept returns after 90 days from purchase date.


Qualified returns are those in new and unused condition and in their original packaging within 90 days of purchasing. Mounting a model engine, installing radio parts, or discarding the packing material are some examples of what constitutes used merchandise. Again, we do not accept returns via COD or billed to Vogelsang Aeroscale in any way. The customer is responsible for returning the merchandise. Vogelsang Aeroscale will only pay for return cost if it is determined that the item shipped is not what the customer ordered.


Refused Shipments  

Refused or returned shipments in which Vogelsang Aeroscale incurs additional shipping fees will be assessed on the return credit.  Returned items will obtain a store credit unless the customer requests a refund. Refunds will be given to the original credit card used to pay the item being returned, or we will mail you a check if you paid by check or money order. We will refund the exact amount we owe you. We will not pay any fees you might need to pay to withdraw or accept the money you receive from us.
